The Federal Commission for the Advancement of Women (FCAW)

a). Works to support formulation of policy, standards and norms on gender equality and women’s empowerment through analysis and research.

b). To promote, support and monitor the implementation of international agreements on gender equality and empowerment of women, including the Beijing Platform for Action, at international and national levels.

c). To support the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women and its Optional Protocol.

d). To promote the mainstreaming of gender perspectives across all sectors, both within and outside the Civil Rights Party of Canada systems.

The Federal Commission for the Advancement of Women (FCAW) also pledges to improve gender equality and prevention of violence against women, especially vulnerable women living within underprivileged communities across Canada. The FCAW conducts extensive policy research studies in the context of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and the Beijing Declaration. The purpose of these research studies represents a good step towards FAAVM's efforts to improve gender equality and equity.

Women's Handbags Collection - Have you ever wondered about the origin of handbags and purses? Handbags have been essential to daily life ever since people have had something precious to carry around with them and only the items have changed over time.
